CIVONCOR IT Consulting emerged from the shared vision and complementary strengths of its co-founders, Deepa Gopinath and Ashwini Dixit. The Journeys That Converged

Deepa Gopinath and Ashwini Dixit first crossed paths in Canada in 2008, each bringing a unique set of experiences and ambitions that would eventually lead them to create CIVONCOR.

Deepa Gopinath began her journey with a determination that saw her land her first job even before graduating in 2000. Her early career across local organizations and MNCs fueled a desire for greater challenges, leading her to pursue an MBA in Marketing & HR, where she graduated top of her class. Drawn to the energy of startups, Deepa embraced opportunities that taught her the intricacies of building businesses from the ground up. Her passion evolved towards setting up new ventures, delivering complex projects, and acquiring new skills with each success. This path took her from India to Singapore and eventually to Canada, where she honed her expertise in IT project management and consulting. Deepa recognized that her true calling lay in leveraging her diverse skillset to drive projects to successful closure, understanding that attitude, more than just existing skills, paves the way for career growth. By 2015, she was ready to channel her experience into her own venture, seeking a partner who shared her enthusiasm for the startup culture.

Ashwini Dixit embarked on her professional life in 1998 with a degree in Interior Designing. After gaining valuable experience, she launched her own successful Interior Design consultancy in Mumbai in 2003, serving clients internationally, including in the USA and Canada. Through her work, Ashwini observed the increasing integration and potential of IT, particularly in design tools and process automation, sparking a keen interest in the technology sector. Her frequent business trips to North America and pivotal encounters in 2008 – reconnecting with former schoolmates holding key IT positions and meeting Deepa – solidified her view of the vast opportunities within the IT field. Leveraging her existing business acumen and newly forged connections across North America and India's booming IT landscape, Ashwini boldly pivoted, developing an IT contracting business focused on an onsite-offshore model.

The Genesis of CIVONCOR

The catalyst for CIVONCOR's formation arrived in 2015. Ashwini secured a significant opportunity with a leading Canadian business, requiring a strong local partnership. Simultaneously, Deepa was poised to launch her own enterprise. Reconnecting at this opportune moment, they realized their goals aligned perfectly: to establish an IT consulting firm that could offer high-quality, cost-effective solutions by harnessing the power of skilled, passionate professionals.

Combining Deepa's project delivery and setup expertise with Ashwini's strategic vision, industry connections, and business development skills, they founded CIVONCOR. Their immediate challenge was to staff a complex data migration and testing project. The success of their handpicked team in consistently meeting the client's rigorous standards validated their approach and laid the groundwork for the company's future.
